What students learn

Programming sits at the core of analytics work because it is how data gets cleaned, prepared, and mined. In this course students learn fundamental programming concepts and Python syntax, and become familiar with the built-in modules, libraries, and functions used for discovering patterns in data. By the end they can use Python to gather and analyze data and to communicate what they found.

Topics

From the Spring 2023 syllabus:

  • Introduction to management and data analysis
  • Python programming basics
  • Data manipulation and cleaning with Python
